Week 7
Dear Embryo,
Since I last wrote to you, you have doubled in size. You have arms, legs and eye sockets. You also have a tail but from what I read you will lose that over the next 2 weeks so don’t worry. You got your first gift. Uncle Adam and Auntie Tera bought you your first stuffy. A soft brown bear. It looks to me like it’s a toy fit for a little boy but appropriate to if you are a little girl… Your Daddy thinks you are twins. I am not sure if it is gut instinct alone that is telling him this or if he sees how much life you are sucking out of me and wonders if only one little embryo is capable of that….
You have been grounded 3 times already. You are very fresh and you need to learn that making me nauseas, giving me heartburn and draining my energy from my body is not OK. It was either being grounded or getting a spanking on your bum and I was not sure if your behavior yet was severe enough to warrant a spanking but keep it up and you will find out for sure...
In just 6 days I am going to hear your heartbeat for the first time… I have been waiting for this day for many weeks. I am hoping the sound of your heart beating will get me to Christmas when the plan is that all the nauseas stops… and you and I can live in harmony. I am looking forward to this. I can’t wait to feel you moving inside me, to look down and see my big belly to remind me that all is going as planned. I will have no problem replacing my gas pains with baby kicking pains…. In fact, it can not come fast enough.
Until next time, I will be thinking of you…. Be kind and grow strong.
Lots of love,
Your Mother
