Week 9
Dear Embryo,
This will be my last letter to you as a little embryo... In just a few days you will be a fetus! What this means is that we have reached a big milestone! Soon you will be recognized as a real baby and not just a foreign object in my body that resembles an alien more than a real human. I am so proud of you little embryo... you are getting so big and strong and nothing makes me happier.
You participated in your first family holiday celebration lat week. Thanksgiving was at your Aunt Tera and Uncle Adam's house and I warned your cousin that it would be her last Thanksgiving as the only child... I think she will be happy to welcome you. Well, at least at first.
Oh I also have been wanting to tell you that your father and I got another look at you on an ultrasound last week and I am quite impressed with your size and shape... your head seemed big but I am hoping it was a bad angle for you... not that a big head is a bad thing but can we let it grow AFTER you are no longer residing inside me?
Let's see.... what else. OH YES!! I almost forgot. Your father made the dumbest bet of his life. He is SURE you are a girl and I am SURE you are boy so he wanted to bet on it. The first 8 weeks of diapers between 9pm and 6am. This bet is very funny to me and you can bet your hinie I am making him change your tiny little bum too when he loses!!
Nana has already started shopping for you and although I have been tempted to buy you a few things I am waiting a little longer I don't want to give fate any reason to be angry with me...
